God's Church is real-time PvP Bible trivia. Match wits with believers worldwide, earn XP, and climb from Seeker to Prophet. Let scripture become reflex. Free to play. No ads on the battlefield.
We think the Bible deserves better than flashcards.
Every generation has its tools for sharpening minds against scripture — catechisms, hymnals, Sunday school competitions, sword drills. This is ours.
Stand up, get matched with another believer, and prove what you know. Win or lose, you walk away knowing more than you did. That's the deal.
Five rounds. Thirty seconds each. Fastest correct answer scores.
Twelve categories — Genesis, Gospels, Parables, Prophets, Epistles, and more. Or pick "mixed" and let scripture surprise you. Difficulty ranges from easy (Sunday-school staples) to expert (textual minutiae that would impress your pastor).
The system pairs you with a believer near your skill — measured by XP. New players warm up against challengers their own size. Veterans face only worthy opponents. No grinding, no smurfing — your rank reflects what you actually know.
Four options. Thirty seconds on the clock. Speed matters, but accuracy matters more. A wrong answer fast is still wrong. The timer turns red and pulses in the final five seconds — don't panic.
Right or wrong, you see the verse reference and a brief explanation. This is the teaching moment. Every question doubles as a small lesson, citing chapter and verse so you can study the passage afterward. Trivia becomes scripture study.
After the final round, scores are tallied. XP is awarded. If you crossed a tier threshold — Disciple to Believer, Apostle to Saint — a celebration screen marks the promotion. Your rank persists across battles. Your streak builds with daily play.
Earn XP by knowing the Word.
The honest answers.
Yes. Free forever for unlimited battles. We offer two paid tiers — Blessed and Apostle — for people who want premium translations, custom avatars, and advanced stats. But every feature that matters for ranking and competing is free.
And we will never run ads inside a live battle. That promise is in stone.
Every battle adjusts your XP. Win, and you earn XP. Lose, and you give some back. The amount depends on who you played:
Everyone starts at 1000 XP. Your number finds its true level within about 20 battles — that's the point where you stop seeing wild swings and start competing where you really belong.
Practice battles don't affect your XP. Only ranked PvP counts toward your tier. Daily challenges give bonus XP on victory.
The King James Version is our base text. It's public domain, historically grounded, and recognized across denominations. We're working on adding optional translations (ESV, NIV, NASB) for premium subscribers, where the source allows.
Tell us. Every question has a "report" button after the answer is revealed. We review every report. If a question is genuinely wrong, ambiguous, or theologically contested, we either fix it or pull it. Scripture deserves precision.
Three battles as a guest. After that, signing up takes 20 seconds — email, username, password. We do this so your XP, streak, and rank can persist. No social media login required. No data sold. Ever.
No. Our questions cover the canonical 66 books of the Protestant Bible — content any Christian, Catholic, or Orthodox reader will recognize. We avoid denominational hot-buttons (predestination, sacramental theology, end-times specifics) in the question pool. Battles are about what scripture says, not about which tradition reads it best.
Each day, a different category is featured — Parables on Monday, Prophets on Tuesday, and so on. Win the daily challenge battle and you earn 1.5× the normal XP. Miss a day, miss the bonus. The challenge resets at midnight UTC every 24 hours.
Daily challenges are the fastest way to climb the tiers, but they're optional — regular ranked battles work just fine on their own schedule.
The web app is already installable as a PWA — add it to your home screen on iOS or Android and it behaves like a native app, including offline question caching. A dedicated App Store / Play Store version may follow if there's demand, but the web version is the priority because it's free to update and open to everyone.
Independent developers who believe the Bible deserves a serious, modern game. No VC backing, no engagement-farming algorithms, no dark patterns. Just a small team, a fast server, and a long roadmap.
